Celebrate 25 years of Adoramus at our Christmas Concert 

Saturday 11th December 2021

Join us for a European Christmas with music from  Austria, Scotland,  Sweden, Italy, and England. The concert will be compèred by David Buckley, conducted by David Hooke and the orchestra led by Christine Townsend. Programme includes Mozart’s Sleigh Ride, Handel’s Worthy is the Lamb, Boyce’s Symphony No.5, Schubert Mass in G and carols for all!

As Covid is still with us we have precautions for everyone’s safety in place.

There is a limited audience of 160 to enable social distancing and all tickets will be prebooked with a list of attendees expected on the door so that entry is contactless.

We ask that everyone over 12 takes a lateral flow test on the day of the concert and that no-one attends if they have a cold, cough, fever or feel unwell or if they have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.  In the event of being unable to attend for any of these reasons we will organise a refund if informed in advance.

Please wear masks (unless exempt), observe the one- way and social distancing measures in place and use the sanitisers provided. Have warm clothing as the church will be ventilated.

Please sit by yourself or with family members or social group.

The concert starts at 7.30 and ends at 9.45 with a 15 minute interval with refreshments provided.

Adoramus’ 25th Anniversary May 2021

Utilising recordings made and stored in our video vault, Adoramus presented their first Concert Hall online premiere in our 25th anniversary year. On this occasion our programme featured some substantial works along with short extracts from famous choral and orchestral pieces. Everyone enjoyed a variety of choral and orchestral music from the Adoramus video vaults recorded in London, St. Albans, the New Forest as well as foreign climes, includes works by Verdi, Smetana, Mozart, Telemann, Schubert and Handel.

New Year Concert! 2021

The Adoramus New Year Concert Live Stream was another resounding success with 900 viewers joining us from all over the globe including USA, Zambia, Zimbabwe, France, Italy, Wales, Denmark, Canada and all over the UK.  It was great to see the variety of children’s choirs who have sung with us and our brilliant orchestra. There were great videos including the Red Arrows for the finale.

This online event was a great success and was a lovely a nostalgic look back to other concerts and foreign visits including previously unseen footage from our archives and lockdown recordings. We were joined by friends and supporters from all over the world including USA, Abu Dhabi, France, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Italy, Spain and closer to home – in Steeple Bumpstead.
