Come and hear a choral and orchestral spectacular as Adoramus choir and
orchestra, The London Forest choir and the Beniaminek Polish Children’s Choir
commemorate the 150th
anniversary of Berlioz’s death with a performance
of his imposing Te Deum. The organ being so integral to the Te Deum, this
concert gives us a great opportunity to include another French blockbuster in
the programme in the form of Guilmant’s Organ Symphony No.1 performed by Chapel
Royal Organ Scholar, William Fielding. The concert begins with “Les Préludes”
by Berlioz friend and colleague Franz Liszt; a piece that was being composed in
the same years as Berlioz’ Te Deum with the first performances of these work
being just a year apart.
